Chelsea advanced to the last four with an eventually comfortable
victory, but a brief Derby fightback sent
Blues hearts racing in the second half.
Craig Bryson made it 2-1 in the 71st minute but Jake Buxton was controversially sent off just minutes later, leaving the home side to face the final 10 minutes a man down,
with Jose Mourinho’s men taking full advantage at the iPro Stadium to continue their quest for their
first silverware of the season
Real Madrid made light work of Cruz Azul by smashing them 4-0 on Tuesday in Marrakech to reach the Club World Cup
final.
Sergio Ramos’ headed opener in the 15th minute set the tone for what was to come,
with Karim Benzema adding a second nine minutes before half-time.
Gerardo Torrado squandered a glorious opportunity to reduce the deficit prior to the interval when he had a penalty saved by Iker Casillas and Gareth Bale punished that missed chance shortly after the teams emerged for the second period – heading home from a Cristiano Ronaldo cross.
This, however, will do little to ease the growing concerns for Rodgers and Liverpool, with the
memory of their thrilling 3-0 win here in March - in a sequence that almost
took them to their first title in 24 years - seeming an age away.
United captain Wayne Rooney gave them an early lead and Liverpool had every right to feel aggrieved when Mata headed in from a clearly offside position to take the game away from them just before half-time.
Even before United took the lead, De Gea made an important save from Sterling, denying the England youngster on
four occasions as well as producing three vital contributions to stop Liverpool substitute Mario Balotelli getting his first Premier League goal for the club.
Robin van Persie's third for United at the end of a lightning counter-attack only added to Liverpool's
pain and gave the scoreline a lopsided look given the amount of work done by De Gea.
Arsenal put their recent Premier League troubles behind them to move to within two points of the Premier League's top four after an easy win over
Newcastle.
Olivier Giroud headed the Gunners ahead from Alexis Sanchez's cross and Santi Cazorla's cute finish made it 2-0.
Giroud added his second with a clever close-range finish, and Ayoze Perez gave Newcastle hope with
a header.
Cazorla completed an emphatic win with a penalty after Paul Dummett's foul on Danny Welbeck.
Chants of "there's only one Arsene Wenger" rang out at Emirates Stadium towards the end of a dominant Arsenal display.
Chelsea returned to winning ways in the
Premier League and kept up their 100% home record with a scrappy and ill-disciplined victory over 10-man Hull.
Eden Hazard scored a header early on, but the hosts only made sure of victory after Tom Huddlestone's 60th-minute red card for a challenge on Filipe Luis.
It was Diego Costa who eased Chelsea nerves, sweeping home from close range.
But Chelsea were far from perfect, with Willian and Costa booked for diving and Gary Cahill lucky not to be sent off.
The England defender had already been shown a yellow card for a late challenge in the first half - a tackle on Sone Aluko that Hull manager Steve Bruce thought was deserving of a straight red - and after the break the centre-back went to ground too easily inside the Hull box.
The youngsters (Davido & Wizkid) finally met up at an
event and hugged/shaked it out. The beef started during the summer of
2014 over an Instagram post by Wizkid. Both claimed to have respect for eachother, the beef shouldn’t have happened just a mis-understanding between the Nigerian
superstars. Do we get a Davido & Wizkid collabo? I guess African music lovers are waiting for it!
It took 24 minutes of patient probing for the deadlock to be broken, with Di Maria swinging over a curling free-kick from the right which dipped over the heads of those inside the box and nestled into the back of the net.
Herrera doubled the advantage on 36 minutes, with the Spaniard drilling low into the bottom corner after being picked out by Rooney.
The England captain then added his name to score sheet on the stroke of half-time, reversing a shot inside the near post, before Mata wrapped things up just before the hour mark as he gathered a driven cross-shot from Di Maria and calmly lifted the ball over an onrushing Robert Green.
Neymar came off the bench and produced two exquisite finishes from the brilliant Lionel Messi assists to give Barcelona a 2-0 win at home to Athletic Bilbao and maintain their perfect start to La Liga.
Barca dominated at a sun-drenched Camp Nou but were unable to make a breakthrough until Neymar ran clear onto Messi’s threaded pass and dinked the ball past onrushing goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz for a 79th-minute lead. Five minutes later, Messi made one of his scintillating runs down the right and clipped the ball across to an unmarked Neymar, who had time to steady himself before sidefooting clinically into the bottom corner.
Did Actress Juliet Ibrahim just hear of twerking when Amber Rose and others have killed the game? Oh No, it seems what Juliet Ibrahim is doing in the video, though interesting, is not twerking…
The Ghanaian actress uploaded a video on her Instagram giving her fans a real bum shake, and you know what knocked my heard after watching it? I said; the ex-husband must be kicking his head with a hammer—seeing the bum flipping up and down like that.
It looks like Juliet could have gone on for longer but the Instagram time limit sucks so she had to end it…Don’t try this at home else you can break your waist.

England’s goal actually came as a shock. Sterling, the man-of-the-match, attacked on the left and went to the outside of Omar Elabdellaoui. He was too quick for his opponent and this time the referee made the right decision. Rooney thumped his shot to the right of the goalkeeper, Orjan Haskjold Nyland, and that puts him ahead of Michael Owen as the outright fourth highest scorer in England’s history.
That was Rooney’s last touch before being withdrawn and Hodgson also brought on Fabian Delph and Calum Chambers for their debuts in the closing stages. Danny Welbeck, another substitute, looked lively and tested Nyland with a quickly taken shot but the game petered out with the minimum of entertainment.

A 9 year boy who found his mum
high on heroine on the street,
slapped the shit out her in a
shocking video that was posted on
instagram. The distraught little boy
can be heard screaming "mummy, wake up. Can you talk to me? Wake
up" while the woman stares blankly
at him, making him slap her again
and again. Feel so sad for the child.
With a mum like this, he's probably
raising himself. He shouldn't have hit her like that but I can understand his

Real Madrid kicked off their season with a victory over La Liga new boys Cordoba on Monday night.
France international Karim Benzema opened the scoring for last season's runners-up with a bullet header on 30 minutes.
Cristiano Ronaldo made sure of the win in the 90th minute as the Portugal international struck from 30 yards to double Real's advantage.
Cordoba had a goal ruled out for offside with twenty minutes to go when former Newcastle striker Xisco found the back of the net after Iker Casillas had parried Fidel's initial shot.

Everton scored twice in the first-half to take control and put down an early marker that last season’s advances under Roberto Martinez were not temporary.
But they could not sustain it.
Finally Arsenal struck. It owed much to Everton’s poor defending with Ozil finding substitute Santi Cazorla and Coleman standing off him. Cazorla working his way forward and crossed low into the six-yard area and there, as ever, was Ramsey to force the ball over the line. Soon after Giroud was presented with an uncontested header from a corner which he steered wide. But he made amends in style.
Again Everton were culpable with poor defending as Monreal crossed from the left and there was the French international to head emphatically past Howard and save a point. Everton were deflated.
Atletico Madrid prevailed in the Spanish Super Cup as Mario Mandzukic’s goal sealed a 1-0 victory at the Vicente Calderon.
Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Atletico shaded a tight game on home soil to ensure there was no repeat of Real’s success in the UEFA Champions League final at the end of last season.
Copa del Rey winners Real made three changes to their line-up from the first leg, bringing in James Rodriguez following his goal off the substitutes’ bench at the Bernabeu, but it was another summer signing who made the early breakthrough as Mandzukic fired La Liga champions Atletico in front after just two minutes.
It came from a long ball from goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya and Real’s defence switched off as Antoine Griezmann flicked it on, giving Croatian striker Mandzukic the chance to strike a crisp finish past Iker Casillas.
